Viruses - A virus is a very small particle, it can come in any shape. A virus gets inside a cell and normally destroys the cell. Viruses only replicates when its within the cells of a living host, mainly bacteria, animals, and plants.
Bacteria - Bacteria normally reproduces by cell division. Bacteria is made up of prokaryotes and usually has a cell wall, so they don't have a nucleus. Bacteria is a domain. The domain aligns with the kingdom Eubacteria. Bacteria is normally spiral, rod shaped and appearing normally single or in chains. Some types of bacteria are involved in fermentation, putrefaction, infectious diseases, and nitrogen fixation.
Archea - Is a domain made up of prokaryotes. Most live in extreme living enviroments that are distinguished from other prokaryotes because they have differences, like their genetics and make-up in their cell wall. The domain aligns with the traditional Kingdom Archeabacteria.
Cells - A cell is the smallest unit that can perform all life processes. Cells are covered by membranes. They contain DNA and cytoplasm.
Everything has cells. There are two kinds of cells Animal cells and Plant cells.
Organelles - An organelle is a small body inside the cytoplasm. They have specific functions.
Function of organelles - Some major functions are protection, support, barrier between the cell and the environment, building and repairing cells and cell parts, transport of materials and storage and release of energy, disposal in materials and reproduction.
Animal Cell - A cell is the smallest unit that can perform all life's processes. A cell is covered with by a cell membrane. A cell contains cytoplasm and DNA. Here is a picture of a animal cell with the labeled parts.
Organelles of the Animal cell:
Cell membrane - A layer that covers a cells surface and acts as a barrier between the inside of the cell and the cells environment.
Cytoskeleton -
Nucleus -
Ribosome -
Endoplasmic Reticulum -
Mitochondrion -
Golgi Complex -
Vesicle -
Lysosome -
Turtle.
Turtle! The picture above is a picture of a turtle swimming in the ocean. I choose to do my living organism on a turtle because turtles are the best creatures ever! They swim in the ocean all the time or you can even have turtles as pets. I think turtles are cool looking and very interesting.
